Marsica
Marsica is a geographical area in the Abruzzo to the west of Scanno (click on map right for expanded image). We know that Hilde photographed Magliano dei Marsi and Tagliacozzo while on her extensive travels throughout Italy in the 1930s.
Alessio De Stefano of Piccola Biblioteca Marsicana has helped us to identify these photographs with Monte Velino in the background.
